Merriams Wild Turkey Feather PinThis pin is hand carved from tupelo and hand painted in acrylics. It features a green iridescent bar highlighted in bronze, copper and violet. Found in the western USA they are known to cover miles and miles each day. You better have your running shoes on if you are going to chase this trophy.

Juvenile Golden Eagle Feather PendantThis Golden Eagle Feather pendant is the same feather the plains Indians wore. This feather never repeats itself in nature. Pendants are 2.5" to 3" long. I stain them on the back so if it flips over the white wood does not show. I love painting this feather because everyone is totally different from the one before.

Red Phase Ruffed Grouse Feather PinThe Ruffed Grouse also comes in a grey color phase which I carve. You can hear this neat game bird drumming away in the spring trying to entice the girls. The pin is hand carved from tupelo and hand painted in acrylics.

Wood Duck Speculum FeatherThis feather is a real hoot to paint. More colors than you have in the box. All iridescent, all suttle, and all different makes it remind me of carvival glass. They are very popular and I carve them life size. I can hear a flight of Woodys goin by the blind right now. They will be low, fast, and in the pitch dark. A little to early! Jan 30, 2012
