A Note from Steve:

As a Dad, Papa, and Game Warden I have encountered many situations involving children.  Many of those situations are downright funny, others very serious and yes even a few a little sad.  Whatever the case maybe I hope you enjoy this collection of poems…I hope they bring a smile to your face…or even a joyful tear to your eye...  Since these poems came to me in the middle of the night and the 1st I titled “God’s Gift”, I guess that explains how I feel about this collection.

I recently began carving feather earrings and pendants.  So far they have been well received by the ladies who are wearing them.  They are all of course, power carved from tupelo and hand painted in acrylics.  I make the feather earrings in either French loop, or fixed post style.  The silver wires are Sterling Silver and the Gold are 14kt.  The fixed posts are Sterling Silver and are special order at this time.  All of the feather pendants and French loop feather earrings are finished on the back with oak stain and sealed with wildfowl varnish.  One earring is signed and the other has the date and name of the bird.  The pendants are both signed and dated.  Since I carve these free hand no two feather pendants or feather earrings are the same.
